To have a comprehensive understanding of the Health, Happiness and Harmony (3Hs) status of our local families, the FAMILY Project has been conducting a territory-wide household survey, using high-end devices, such as touchscreen portable computers and accelerometers to collect data. Data collected include personal and family particulars, lifestyles (such as eating and physical activities), physical and psychological health, happiness index, family harmony index, religious beliefs, neighborhood relationships, work status, and use of medical and social resources, etc. This study will be a tracking survey of 20,000 households to be conducted over 5 years through household visits, telephone or web-based follow ups.
All data collected are strictly confidential, and we make our best endeavors to ensure that privacy of participants is properly protected. The data are analyzed by research team of School of Public Health of The University of Hong Kong, and will be available on an encrypted online e-portal for information used by NGOs, policy makers and researchers in formulating family policies and planning family services.
