Partnering organization: Hong Kong Family Welfare Society

Harmony@Home Project is a preventive parenting intervention that seeks to reduce parent-child conflict and enhance parent-child relationships. As children transition to secondary school, they become more independent and family dynamics change. Often parent-child conflict increases and family harmony suffers. This project aims to enhance the parent-child relationship and decrease parent-child conflict in two ways. One way is by enhancing the parent’s self-worth, boosting their communication and conflict resolution skills, and empowering them. The second method is by enhancing the parent’s positive parenting skills and showing them how to enhance their relationship with their child.
