Partnering organization: International Social Service Hong Kong Branch
Boosting Positive Energy Programme aims to improve resilience, increase understanding of information on public services, and promote family health, happiness and harmony among new immigrants from Mainland China. New immigrants came from their hometown in Mainland to settle in Hong Kong which is a new place to them. They have to adapt to the cultural differences between the Mainland and Hong Kong, and have to face various challenges in everyday life. This intervention programme on one hand aims to enhance resilience of new arrivals from Mainland through learning about self-appreciation, positive thinking and optimism; on the other hand it aims to increase their understanding of Hong Kong through acquiring information on public services, so that new arrivals could easily overcome the obstacles and have a comfortable life in Hong Kong.
