Thousands of members of the public spent a meaningful and laughter-filled Saturday at the Happy Family Kitchen project’s public education event held in Tsuen Wan on 20 October. This large-scale event aims to bring across the message of spending quality time with family by cooking and dining together, thereby promoting family health, happiness and harmony (family 3Hs).
Funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the 3Hs Family Drama project was jointly organized by the School of Public Health of The University of Hong Kong and The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA). On 5 October, award winners, school children and their parents gathered together for the musical premiere cum competition award presentation ceremony.
How do you build a harmonious family? Simply from dining at home! The Happy Family Kitchen Project is now extended to Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing District, crafting family programmes to promote positive family communications within the districts.
2012 Jockey Club Summer Visits Programme has invited local elderly centers and their families to have lunch at the Pak Sing Restaurant at Sha Tin Racecourse and to play games, enabling the elderly and their families spent a summer together full of family Health, Harmony and Happiness (3Hs).

FAMILY: A Jockey Club Initiative for a Harmonious Society annual highlight – the 4th Annual Symposium cum Training Workshop – “FAMILY Participation: Generating Evidence for FAMILY Health, Happiness and Harmony (3Hs) in the Community” was successfully held on 24-25 May 2012 at the Faculty of Medicine Building of The University of Hong Kong.

In order to better prepare for an array of community-based family programmes, the Enhancing Family Well-being Project invited our Shamshuipo partners to join the Capacity Building Programme held on 21st February at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine campus of The University of Hong Kong.
